Terms and our offline guarantee

The promise. If a sale or booking rung on the till while it was offline is ever lost, we credit that month’s subscription in full. One lost transaction is enough; the credit is the whole month, not the value of what was lost.

What it covers. Sales and bookings recorded on the till while it had no internet connection: cash, member and house accounts, rain checks and gift cards redeemed at the till, and card payments taken on your own separate card terminal and recorded on the check.

How we measure it. Every till numbers everything it records, one after another, and keeps it until our server confirms it has it. Each month, for each of your tills, we check that sequence. A number missing from what our server holds is a lost transaction, unless it belongs to training or a sales demonstration: those are acknowledged and deliberately not kept, and we record their numbers separately so they are never mistaken for a loss. A transaction is offline when it reached us more than two minutes after the till recorded it, once the till’s own clock drift is allowed for. One that arrives late is not lost. We keep each month’s figures, and we will show them to you on request.

What it does not cover.

• Card payments taken on the till itself: with no connection the till refuses them rather than hold them.
• Anything that needs another party online at that moment, such as an online payment or an email to a golfer.
• A terminal lost, destroyed, or reset before it reconnected: what it had not yet sent existed only on that device.

How you get it. Nothing to file. If our monthly check finds a lost transaction on any of your tills, we credit that month and tell you which transactions and when.
