The whole system, screen by screen

Fourteen screens captured off a terminal running MulliganOS, at the size the counter sees them. A morning runs from the tee sheet to a booking, to a check, to a split, to the shop, to a member’s account, and ends at the day’s numbers. Tap any shot to see it full size.

The course is a demonstration club we keep for testing — the name, the members and the tournament are invented. The prices, the tax, the totals and every figure in the report are whatever the software actually computed from them.

The tee sheet
Eight-minute intervals down the morning. The 07:08 slot is full — two members, a public player and a junior. Green fees read from $45.00 until nine and from $60.00 after, because the rate card changes at nine and the sheet quotes whatever the card says. The amber rows are a tournament holding times it has not released.
Booking a group
Member, public, junior or senior; walking, half a cart or a whole one; eighteen holes or nine. Each golfer carries their own answer, so a junior walking with two riding members does not force the counter to pick one rate for the group and correct it afterwards.
Priced before it is booked
$141.00 before tax for that foursome. The same engine prices the check when they arrive, so the quote and the till cannot disagree.
Check them in and the check is written
The members’ rounds at $0.00 because their dues cover them, two carts at $28.00, a public round at $45.00 and a junior at $40.00. Subtotal $141.00 — exactly what the sheet quoted — then HST once on the whole. Note what is not there: no kitchen button, because nobody cooks a round of golf.
Four players, four ways to pay
By seat, by item, or evenly. One pays cash, one taps a card, one puts it on their member account, and the check does not close until the last one is covered. The parts add to the whole to the cent, tax included.
The pro shop counter
A sleeve, a glove and a bag of tees: subtotal $45.97, HST $6.90, $52.87. The shop, the turn and the grill are categories on one till, not separate systems to reconcile at the end of the night.
A glove is a size and a hand
Size and Hand are both marked required, and the button stays “Choose required” until they are answered. The counter cannot ring a glove that nobody can pick off the shelf.
Charge it to a member
Every member with their number, their plan and what is already on their account. The line at the top says it exactly: “$49.43 goes on the account. Nobody pays now.” A house charge is not a payment and the till does not pretend otherwise.
Member accounts that add up
$49.43 owing, $450.57 left of a $500.00 limit. Payments land on the oldest charge first, which is the only way current/30/60/90 ever means anything. Standing is explicit: suspended still plays at the member rate but may not charge; lapsed does neither. The charge from the counter is already in the history.
Tournaments hold the sheet
A shotgun holding every time from nine until one, in groups of four. The entry is $40 and marked as covering the round, so an entrant is not charged a green fee twice. Only published and running events hold times — a draft holds nothing, cancelling gives the morning back — and the amber note names the one thing still to fix.
The pro shop shelf
144 on hand at $10.50 average cost, $1,512.00 at cost. The moving average, not the last price paid, so a full shelf is not revalued by one rush order. Par and order-at levels per item, and every delivery, count and write-off kept as a movement you can read back.
Your rates, typed in by you
First tee, last tee and the interval — 90 tee times a day at eight minutes. Player types the course actually sells to, and a rate card of 11 rules by type, hole count and time window. A player type with no price rule cannot be booked at all; it is never quietly sold at zero.
What the day actually did
4 rounds, $85.00 in green fees, $56.00 in carts, $35.25 per round, with green fees broken out by the rate that priced them. By category: pro shop, green fees, carts. Top items: a cart, a dozen balls, a public green fee, a course cap, a glove. This is the report a course actually runs.
Take a booking over the phone
Party size first, then every time on the sheet showing how many places remain, so the person on the phone is told what is free without anybody reading down a list. Name and number attach to the booking and follow it to the counter.
