Tournaments that hold the sheet
An event holds a block of tee times, carries a field, and rings entry fees onto checks. Shotgun or consecutive tee times; the draw groups the field and puts one group on each hole, doubling up past eighteen the way a club actually does it.
A shotgun holding every time from nine until one, in groups of four. The entry is $40 and marked as covering the round, so an entrant is not charged a green fee twice. The amber note names the one thing still to fix.
Events and the sheet
Spoken for, never double-sold
Only published and running events hold times — a draft holds nothing.
The hold comes from the event
The hold is derived from the event rather than copied onto the sheet, so cancelling gives the whole morning back in one action.
On the sheet, a tournament holding times it has not released reads by name, like Fall Member-Guest. The day is not blocked out and it is not double-sold; the times are simply spoken for, and they say by what.
Entry fees that price themselves
Entry fees can include the green fee or sit on top of it, and when they sit on top the green fee comes from your rate card. An entrant is never charged a green fee twice.
